What is Fragile X?
Fragile X is the most common inherited cause of mental impairment and developmental disabilities worldwide.

Fragile X affects all races and ethnic groups.
Fragile X affects approximately 1 in 2,000 boys and 1 in 4,000 girls. It is estimated that 80-90% of people with Fragile X are not yet correctly diagnosed.

Symptoms include:
• mental impairment, ranging from learning disabilities to mental retardation
• attention deficit and hyperactivity
• anxiety and unstable mood
• autistic-like behaviors
• long face, large ears, flat feet
• loose joints
There are other symptoms as well, however these seem to be the most common.
